Crafty Birthday Party

My sister wanted a "crafts" birthday party.  That was right up my alley, so we picked a date and last Saturday, we had a fun party with 14 female friends and family.  Here we are, in our artist outfits.  I made aprons and got some berets.  Each party guest had their "artist" picture taken and decorated a picture frame with paper, beads and ribbon flowers.

We had a "beading" station where guests could make earrings.  Here is Debra, Harriet and Shari working on wire and beaded earrings.

We had a project where guests painted and decoupaged a wooden bench.  Here is Harrison putting them together before the guests arrived.

Now, here's a huge surprise.  My other sister, Suzanne, does not like crafts, but here she is, working on a bench.  She and mom surprised Lynn by driving in from Detroit for the birthday party. 

And finally, my mom, who always makes me smile.  We were using gold paint as an accent, but mom wanted her whole bench painted gold.
