When I haven't posted on my blog in a while, I feel the need to explain the absence. There's no good reason or special explanation, I just haven't put anything out there.  So with the new year comes new resolutions to post more.  Here's a new post with my first finished artwork for 2013.  This is a mixed media piece where I enjoyed making the background with paper and acrylic paints and then adding "stuff" from my art table.  I used the deer from a die cut on my Christmas cards this year and there were a couple just sitting there that went perfectly in that opening.
